Most ridiculous thing which ever happened whilst you were wakeboarding: A failed 3 on the fun box at Sheffield leaving me bruised both physically and mentally and an epic delayed concussion with me vomiting in the early hours. gotta love the pressure of nationals.
Best trick: I did a few nuclear grabs at Sheffield last year, not tried it recently though.
About yourself: Studying Sport Science with Outdoor Sports at Bangor. Started wakeboarding in October 2009 but got really in to it and worked solidly over the summer getting my coaching quals and then coaching a lot of silly water skiers. Did get it all for free though and it meant I was getting ride time nearly every day.

The most ridiculous thing that has happened whilst wakeboarding:
Breaking my hand trying to do a back roll at the Beach Break Live pool gap. The whole event was pretty dangerous due to the broken lining making the pools only knee deep! To make matters worse this all happened the day before the competition and i spent 4 hours in A&E with only my boardies on, it wasn't fun.

About yourself: I'm currently studying Geography at Southampton uni and the wakeboard president! I've never done anything like it before and it's a lot of fun! Now my hand has finally healed it’s been great to get back on the water. I did my first ever proper boat set recently which was incredible and if it wasn't for the price would definitely do it more often! When I’m not wakeboarding I'll be playing the guitar, listening to music, skating or trying other sports such as surfing/ kitesurfing. I’m really excited to be a part of Uniwake and can't wait to help set up all the massive events throughout the year!

About yourself: Been wakeboarding on and off since I was 14 and then took 2 years off when I tore my ACL after my ski season. Studying chemistry at Nottingham Uni. Have no plans to ever use chemistry again when I graduate. Media sec at Nottingham uni wakeboard club. Just trying to get the wakeboard club at Nottingham as big as it used to be (so I hear) and to help all the riders improve.

Most ridiculous thing to happen to you: i have managed to gain a massive metal rod in my leg due to breaking my femur, trying to slalom an easy up board.

About yourself: currently injured but after christmas you'll see me tear it up. been wakeboarding since i was 13, it does not show, always did boat then found cable to be so much more fun, and better for students. i am studying product design in bangor where i am trips and training for our club just love getting more people into the sport really.

Most ridiculous thing which ever happened while you were wakeboarding:
While on the Turkey, Uniwake trip 2011, we went skinny-dipping all ran into
the sea, pitch black - I managed to find the only patch of rocks and
smashed my knee on them and cut my leg open. Not noticing until the next
morning with blood all down my leg, a chunk of skin missing; I couldn't
walk on it. Needless to say, I carried on riding the next day. I now have a
numb patch on my leg where I can't feel anything...
Best trick: Funbox to A-frame gapping transfer
About yourself: I'm studying Civil & Structural Engineering, but at the
moment, I'm on placement. Started wakeboarding as I started uni and am
LOVING IT! Can't get onto the water enough and I always seem to get better
as the season ends so I ride through the winter too! I'm mainly a
rails/sliders person but starting to get into some inverts and rotations
now, so you'll see me splashing about at the end of the kicker.
At Coventry I'm helping get the Wakeboarding interest as high as possible
and getting lots of newbies through the door!

Most ridiculous thing that happened whilst wakeboaring: A day after the dragon tried to break my neck @ hip-notics my board decided to expload on impact of a raley attempt, still at least i didnt do a Benoit.

About yourself: I do Geology at Southampton, which isnt super exciting so i wakeboard and play rugby. At a wakeboard event i am most likley on the water for a minimal amount of time before turning my attentions to inibriation. I live each year in expectatin of the next Hip-Notics trip and this year will be earning my hat-trick. As for uniwake i'm hear to assist with the running of trips and events and generally being there as a shoulder to lean/cry/vommit on as is necessary.

About yourself: I'm in my first year of Computer Sciense at the University of Kent, which might be a little geeky for most of you but it helps with running the website.
